The GC Series is Dominator's purpose-built firearm storage range. Every model meets the steel thickness and fixing requirements for Category A and B longarms in every state and territory; confirm your requirements with your state firearms registry. Five models from the compact GC-1 (4 rifles) through to the GC-5 premium gun safe (16+ rifles), with the higher GC-4 and GC-5 models built on the DS Series security platform for genuine fire-and-burglary-rated firearms storage.

The GA-4 is a dedicated ammunition storage box designed to bolt directly to the top of the GC-4 premium rifle safe, keeping ammunition secure and accessible without using any of the safe's interior space.
The GA-5 is Dominator's largest ammunition storage box, designed to bolt to the top of the GC-5 premium rifle safe. Offering an impressive 91-litre internal capacity, it provides substantial dedicated ammo storage without occupying any space inside the main safe.
The DHS-3 is a mid-sized steel ammunition box designed to fit inside IQ-3 and IQ-5 pistol safes. With 28 litres of internal capacity and 2mm body / 6mm door steel construction, it delivers robust storage for larger ammo collections.
The DHS-2 is a compact steel ammunition box designed for dedicated ammo storage, fitting neatly inside the IQ-2 pistol safe. Built with 2mm body and 6mm door steel, it offers 13 litres of internal capacity with a 90° door clearance angle.

With over 100kg of solid steel used in the construction of each cabinet, the GC-1 safe offers more than the required level of strength and security for safe storage of up to four rifles. Utilising a similar bolt work design found in high-quality cash and valuables safes and universal lock mounting templates, each cabinet allows easy conversion to alternate lock types to suit even the most unique applications.

GC Series cabinets are built to meet state steel thickness and fixing requirements for Category A and B longarms and provide insurance-rated burglary protection. All GC models include separately key-lockable ammunition compartments (GC-2 onwards), hardened anti-drill plating around the lock, and a relocker that engages if the lock is attacked.
GC-4 and GC-5 are built on the DS Series security platform — adding concrete composite construction for the highest level of firearms-rated security.

GC Series cabinets use a universal lock mounting footprint — meaning any of the three lock types can be retrofitted to an existing cabinet by a qualified safe technician.

GC Series cabinets should be securely bolted down. Most states require fixing, so confirm the rules with your state firearms registry. Smaller models (GC-1, GC-2) can be positioned by two people; GC-3 onwards require mechanical handling.
GC Series includes 4–6 internal bolt holes per model.

GC Series safes include a spring-loaded case relocker — a secondary locking mechanism designed to activate if the primary lock is attacked. Understanding how it works helps you know when it’s engaged and what to do if it is.
A thin glass plate is embedded behind the primary lock body. If a drilling, punch, or torch attack breaks the glass, spring-loaded secondary bolts deploy and jam the locking mechanism. Once activated, the safe cannot be opened even if the primary lock is subsequently bypassed — it requires professional recovery by a qualified safe technician.
The relocker is a permanent protection feature, not a consumable. It exists to make the safe effectively unusable to an attacker even if they partially succeed against the primary lock.
If you cannot open your safe and suspect the relocker has engaged (usually after attempted forced entry), contact your Dominator dealer immediately. Do not attempt forced opening — this can cause permanent damage to the safe body.
A qualified safe technician can recover the relocker and restore normal operation. The safe itself remains structurally sound and can usually return to service after a relocker recovery.
GC Series cabinets require minimal maintenance. Clean barrel rests periodically with a dry cloth, and lubricate locks and hinges as part of annual firearms maintenance. Replace electronic lock batteries annually under Power for Life.
Redeem your free battery through Power for Life. Replace before low-battery warnings, not after.
Apply a drop of lock-grade lubricant to the dial spindle annually. Avoid WD-40 or general-purpose oils — they can gum up precision movements.
Book a qualified safe technician to inspect hinges, bolt work, and relocker mechanism. Typical service takes 30–60 minutes.
Check fire seals (where fitted) for compression and integrity. Replace if damaged.

Battery is most likely depleted. Replace the 9V battery and try your code again. Use a brand-new Duracell 9V Alkaline battery only. If the keypad still doesn’t respond, contact your dealer for diagnosis.
