The aim here was to gain as much secure storage space as possible while having a restricted installation location.
Being underneath the stairs we were limited by the width of the doorway, as well as the functional door swing angle. Generally, as safes get taller, they get wider and/or deeper, so creating a 1.5m tall safe with a narrow footprint is challenging.
By installing 2 x HS-5 safes on top of one another, we were able to provide 300 litres of secure storage within 0.25m2.
The design of the HS Series safes allows the door to be removed when opened past 90° to reduce the weight and make the lift much easier, especially in a confined area.
Unlike most brands of safe, the Dominator Safes HS Series is also available in a left-hand hinge configuration, which was more suitable for this application. Our technicians also customised the mounting provisions, to allow them to bolt the safes securely through the floor and two walls, ensuring maximum anchoring strength.
